DESIGN SCHOOL ASABA

The Design School Asaba Program aims to equip residents with graphic design and workplace skills while also creating the necessary exposure that is needed for them to launch their careers and earn income in the technology sector and beyond.

This program is sponsored by PIND Foundation as part of the larger Delta State Youth Employment Program (DYEP) in response to the challenge posed by the very high rates of unemployment or underemployment in the Niger Delta, particularly amongst the youth population.

TESTIMONIALS FROM PREVIOUS PARTICIPANTS

I’ve had interest in Graphics/Product Design but never had the time to enroll for the course. Then I got it on a platter of gold organized by Design School. I am most grateful to Design School for making my dream come true. I make extra money for myself now from freelance gigs all thanks to my newly acquired skills.

Mercy Makagni Freelancer

I was a makeup artist before the COVID-19 outbreak, the Design School training was just a link shared with me on WhatsApp but a link turned life changer. I now work as a Product Manager at Stratapay and earning more than I was earning before and doing better in the tech sector.

Remilekun Wahab Product Designer

I was a freelance photographer after graduation. In my quest to secure a full time job, I saw the design school program on a telegram group. I was seriously looking for a new job role that resonates with my course of study( Marketing). Honestly, the Design school experience was what gave me an edge in getting this particular job. I now earn in hundreds of thousands through freelance design jobs and my full time engagement.

Kenneth Okeugo Freelancer

I joined the Design School in 2020 and was exposed to the world of freelancing. I can say I have earned more money working a few hours as a Copywriter and Designer. With the exposure I gained, my mindset has completely changed.

Olawale Awosika Designer/Freelancer

I was formerly into graphic design but not on an in depth level, but due to Design School Training, which a friend recommended and forwarded me the link, I was able to sharpen the skill and I now work as a graphic designer, heading the design team in the organisation I work with. I now earn from graphic design double of what I was earning monthly before design school training.

Raymond Nwachukwu Senior Designer

I am currently working as a Social Media Manager with Futuresoft and also the Head of Operations/HR at FCube Academy owned by one of the facilitators I met during Design School (both remote jobs). I am very grateful for the opportunity because it has been a game-changer for me in many ways and also connected me to amazing people.
