NerdzFactory Design School Lagos Program aims to equip Lagos residents with graphic design, product design, and workplace skills while also creating the necessary exposure that is needed for them to launch their careers and earn income in the technology sector and beyond.
Implemented as part of the Lagos State Employability Support Project, the program is funded by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and the United States Africa Development Foundation (USADF) and it is implemented by NerdzFactory Company.
The goal of the program is to equip young people with design skills, soft skills and entrepreneurship and also connect them with economic opportunities while also helping businesses have access to skilled talent. The program runs a blended approach of 60% physical & 40% virtually.
The approach used in teaching by our instructor is really a great one, that allows everyone to be carried along, for some of us who have never designed before, we can say today after 10days that we can conveniently do a very nice design. I sincerely appreciate USADF, LSETF and everyone involved in making this training experience an amazing one for all of us.
It is a nice one, really appreciate this Golden opportunity, it is really awesome one and I'm forever grateful for it, my testimony is within a week of the training, I have been able to make cash with canva, the design that usually take me hours to come up with coreldraw, did it with 1hour on canva and i got paid, I feel myself and well appreciated to the sponsors. With the exposure I gained, my mindset has completely changed.
I just want to appreciate the organizers & sponsors of the Design school for the opportunity to be a part of the Design School 2021. I have been an entrepreneur with zero experience in the professional sector, I thought I might be able to cope but coming to Design school has made me aware of how far have come with my self-development. And now, I have moved from Zero-knowledge in Graphic designing to a 5 and still working on becoming better. A lot to be said but I will stop here. Thank you
